my Moses

My heart is breaking tonight as my Moses has left this world. I love you sweet boy and you will live forever in my heart.

“Dogs, lives are short, too short, but you know that going in. You know the pain is coming, you're going to lose a dog, and there's going to be great anguish, so you live fully in the moment with him, never fail to share his joy or delight in his innocence, because you can't support the illusion that a dog can be your lifelong companion. There's such beauty in the hard honesty of that, in accepting and giving love while always aware that it comes with an unbearable price."
-Dean Koontz, The Darkest Evening of the Year

  1. Oh Beth, I am sorry for your loss.
What a beautiful dog Moses was and I am sure you have beautiful memories. I understand the bond with animals as I have a fat English bulldog.
    God speed,
    Pam

  2. I'm so, so sorry Beth. He is a handsome dog and I too know the love and loss of an animal companion. Three dogs in 40 years and they all hold a special place in my heart My thoughts are with you...

  5. So sorry to hear this...I remember when our giant hearted little bichon, Mac, left us with giant holes in our hearts as well. I know that Moses will always be near you, you will feel him there at odd moments and you will smile.

  7. What a fine fellow your Moses was, he looks like wonderful companion. I am so sorry for your loss Beth...another hole in your life that you walk around, I know the feeling and also the sweet memories. The gift of their love is worth the pain of parting only because of our sweet memories.

  9. I know how you feel, Beth. The life of a dog is far too short and they are so missed when they are gone.

  10. I am so sorry for your loss. Moses certainly looks a noble being, which is not an easy feat for a dog.
