This picture reminds me of those brave (desperate? foolhardy? enterprising?) young women who struck out from hard times in industrialized towns in Britain or the eastern shores of N.America to find their fortunes (usually in the shape of a husband or a whore house) in the wild west. I'm sure lots of tears were involved. But I also love how the words you chose to underline the image tell a very definite tale of love and loss and hope.
